PORTRAITS, PLACES, AND ABSTRACTIONS
Guy is a retired Architect living in Hemet, California with his wife, Harriet. Guy opened his Architectural firm in 1969 in Hemet and was at one time licensed to practice Architecture in four states. It is still a very viable, successful firm now located in Temecula, and now called “STK Architecture, Inc.”, which originally came from Salts, Troutman, and Kaneshiro. None of these three individuals are active in the firm any longer. The firms past and present work and present makeup can be viewed at stkinc.com.
Since retirement, Guy has revisited painting and sculpture, art forms he really enjoyed while a student at Kansas University, but did not have a lot of time to pursue while active in heading up the Architectural firm.
His involvement in sculpture includes smaller pieces of abstract art using a variety of materials, a large steel piece done for a client on commission, and design and making models of several pieces for entry into competitions. Guy would welcome participating in large sculpture projects that would be combined with existing or planned architectural projects. Materials favored on past projects include steel, concrete, and wood.
Paintings include both oils, acrylics, and watercolors with a wide variety of subject matter. Inspirations include abstract art, representations of places visited, and a few portrait related pieces. This web site offers a glimpse into the various art projects Guy has undertaken these past few years.
